Mallory Anderson is an award-winning broadcast journalist. She is currently an anchor and reporter for WISN ABC 12 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Over her 4 years in Milwaukee, Mallory has led the way with exclusive reporting and has been a trusted anchor both on the desk and out in the field. Mallory is consistently chosen by management to field anchor from important stories like the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, the 2024 shooting at Abundant Life Christian School, and several professional sport playoff runs. She is also the go-to reporter for complex and high profile court cases which include being one of the only journalists in court for former Judge Hannah Dugan’s federal obstruction trial, and Maxwell Anderson’s murder trial. Beyond breaking news Mallory is also well known for her exclusive heartwarming feature stories and Consumer Reports.

Before Milwaukee, Mallory was an anchor and reporter for KRDO, the ABC affiliate in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Prior to heading west, Mallory spent 4 years as an anchor, reporter, and managing editor for WILX in Lansing, Michigan. Straight out of college she started her career as the weekend anchor at WLUC in Marquette, Michigan.

In March of 2021, she was awarded the distinction of ‘Best News Anchor’ by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. Over her career she has covered important stories like insurance issues for Marshall Fire victims in Boulder, Colorado, May 2020 riots over police brutality, the Larry Nassar trial, and the Colorado Avalanche winning the 2022 Stanley Cup. She also communicated complex, rapidly changing information with accuracy and empathy on-air during the COVID-19 pandemic.

With Mallory on the anchor desk, ratings see a jump. In the year she solo-anchored News 10 Today on WILX, the ratings rose to impressive heights, beating out the competition to become the most-watched morning news in the Lansing market for the first time in 5 years. Similar changes were seen at KRDO, as the station edged out competitors to be the top-rated 4 p.m. newscast, which Mallory anchored. The same trend is seen in Milwaukee, where 12 News This Morning consistently wins the market in households and key demographics.

Prior to starting her career, and while she was still a full-time student at the University of Michigan, Mallory worked as a sideline reporter for the Big Ten Network as well as an associate producer for the top-rated radio show in Detroit: Mojo in the Morning.

For nearly a decade Mallory has been able to showcase her exceptional abilities in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes, rounding out her knowledge in media as both a talent and crew member. 

Mallory is also a fierce community advocate. She has served on Camp Kesem’s advisory board for nearly a decade, mentors 8 University of Michigan students, and has emcee’d over 10 events for nonprofits such as the American Heart Association, United Way, Better Business Bureau, and Wisconsin Humane Society.
